You can download two companion apps for desktop use, but they're only for time tracking. Paymo runs in the browser, and there are mobile apps for iOS and Android. In addition to Gantt charts, Paymo lets you view projects and tasks in list form, table form, on a board ( kanban style), and on a calendar. Once we did figure out those steps, however, it was easy to create dependencies among tasks and adjust their dates right in the Gannt chart because it's interactive.

While testing the app, it took slightly longer than it usually does to figure out how to set up a project, add milestones, add tasks, and view it all in a Gantt chart. That's a much more customizable experience than what most other apps offer. In terms of their permissions level in the app, Paymo shows you a list of selection boxes, and you check off the ones you want to apply:

To invite more people to your account, you can click the plus sign and select User, then fill in the details: name, email address, role (meaning title), how many hours per day they are available for work, their hourly rate of pay, and time zone. When you finally get into the app, tutorial pop-ups give you a quick tour of the app. How do you intend to use it? Will you be managing projects, keeping track of who's working on what, mostly using it for time tracking or invoicing? It also suggests some sample project types, such as website design and editorial calendar, so that you can see an example of how the app looks in use. When you first create a Paymo account, the app asks you a few questions. While Paymo isn't the only app to offer these features, they do seem to be the app's strong suit.

Even when we calculate an average cost for an app, the cost for you and your team may vary.Īnother reason is there are different grades of project management software. Others have a flat monthly rate for a group of up to a certain number of users, or they might even offer unlimited users for a flat rate. One reason is companies use different pricing models. Prices don't make for a great apples-to-apples comparison in the world of project management software. When you look at all the project management apps on the market, Paymo's price falls in the middle. You also get Gantt charts, employee scheduling and workload management, as well as employee leave management tools.

You don't get Gantt charts, which can be a real deal breaker if you're looking for a traditional project management experience. With this plan type, you get 50GB of storage and core features such as List, Table, and Board views for tasks unlimited project templates time tracking, apps for advanced time tracking, and timesheets unlimited invoices, estimates, and expenses and app integrations. The Small Office plan costs $11.95 per person per month or $119.40 per person per year.
